The Age of Toxicity & Solutions, Detox Guide

In the Age of Toxicity we are bombarded by heavy metals and other toxins daily from a billion different sources; but we aren’t helpless as there’s tons of ways to avoid exposure and detox.

Toxicity & Detox Solutions of:

• Aluminum
• Arsenic
• Cadmium
• Copper
• Lead
• Mercury

Aluminum:

Although naturally present at lower levels in most foods, in high concentration or in non-food form, Aluminum is linked to Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Now we have aluminum appearing in cookware, wrapping foils, beverage and food containers, underarm deodorants, tobacco, over the counter (OTC) and prescribed medicines and nanosized particles in the air. Conventional lipstick found to contain alarmingly high levels of aluminum, cadmium and lead.  “…a growing list of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s disease and Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS) are strongly related to exposure to environmental aluminum.” – Dr. Russell Blaylock

DETOX Solution: High silica content mineral water. Two brands, Volvic, which is sold at various Whole Food and Trader Joe stores, and Spritzer. But that water’s a little pricey. You can order an inexpensive pound of  horsetail herbs and make teas and tinctures to accommodate a less expendable budget. Making tinctures is easy. Organic cucumbers are high in silica also and provide yet another alternative. Bee’s propolis: Scientists from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India, have found promising evidence showing how propolis treats aluminum toxicity.

Copper

A beneficial nutrient in trace amounts, copper has a very narrow range of safety. Exposure to this heavy metal is cumulative, and it accumulates in brain tissue, causing schizophrenia and mental insanity. High copper exposure can be defended against, in part, with zinc supplementation. Once copper is removed from the diet, moods and cognitive function often return to a normal range. Copper toxicity can come from Copper water pipes; Copper water heaters; Meats using copper sulfate as a growth enhancer; Frozen greens and canned greens using copper to produce an ultra-green color; Zinc deficiency; Alcoholic beverages from copper brewery equipment; Instant gas hot water heaters; Hormone pills; Pesticides. insecticides; fungicides; Copper jewelry; Copper cooking pots.

Vegetarians and vegans tend to have very high copper toxicity because they usually lack zinc in their diets. This partially explains why mental insanity and erratic behavior is surprisingly common among some vegans.

DETOX Solution: Zinc works in a positive way to balance and regulate levels of copper, which can be toxic in excess amounts. One potential remedy for this heavy metal buildup, according to a 2012 study published in the journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, is to supplement with the mineral calcium. Other causes of toxic copper retention include a lack of zinc and manganese, two important mineral cofactors that aid in the proper absorption and use of copper. Spirulina is also a great option.

Arsenic

Considered extremely toxic by the EPA, Arsenic is linked to cancer when found in well water. Was historically used by assassins to kill their intended targets by lacing food with toxic doses.

Arsenic is commonly found in sea vegetables and is generally considered safer in its organic form than inorganic forms but Naturalnews lab tests do not differentiate between organic vs. inorganic arsenic.

DETOX Solution: Chlorella and spirulinaBinding to mercury, arsenic, cadmium and lead, spirulina and chlorella are an excellent choice for removing heavy metals. Moreover, chlorella not only attracts harmful metals but also encapsulates the toxins, thereby preventing reabsorption in the digestive tract.

Cadmium

A highly toxic heavy metal that causes severe kidney damage and skin disorders. Cadmium has a half-life in the human body of around 30 years. Interestingly, Cadmium is actually craved by many people, as it causes a toughening of both the personality and body physiology (especially the cardiovascular system). Cadmium is often found in COFFEE & products harvested from the ocean. But also found in Cigarettes; Fertilizers; Water pipes; Soft drink dispensers; Coal burning; Refined foods. It is also used in many products made in China. Exposure to this environmental toxin comes almost exclusively through dietary sources and tobacco smoke, largely due to its presence as a major contaminate in phosphate fertilizers.

(The most commonly reported high levels of heavy metal particulates, which can be breathed in, include aluminum, barium and cadmium. These reports also come from areas that don’t have industrial pollution sources in the immediate area, but where aerosol spray geo-engineering often occur. Retired neurosurgeon and author Dr. Russell Blaylock has expressed concerns over the neurological impact of aluminum nanoparticles, which he concedes are being sprayed from high altitude aircraft. [5] There are two articles in the sources below featuring trap-collected measurements of heavy metals from often aerosol-sprayed Arizona and British Columbia, Canada, after chemtrails were spotted. The Arizona collection was from an air trap, and the BC Canadian collection was from rainwater. Both samples were sent to independent labs. The results reported very high toxic levels of cadmium, aluminum, barium and others. [6] [7]

DETOX Solution: Chlorella, as illustrated in a 2008 study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food, is its ability to expel toxic cadmium from the body and prevent it from poisoning the liver and other vital organs. Studies linking onion extracts to reduced damage from cadmium exposure. Blueberries have protective effects on cells overloaded with toxic cadmium. Cyandin, the main component of blueberry’s anthocyanidin, was directly observed to have protective effects. The polyphenols of black tea also helps.

Mercury

A potent neurotoxin, mercury has the highest toxicity of any heavy metal on a gram-per-gram basis. Mercury is known to cause permanent neurological damage, kidney damage, infertility and birth defects. It doesn’t stay in blood for long, preferring to make its way into organs and tissues where it adheres to cell membranes and interferes with healthy cellular function. There is a global reservoir of airborne mercury circulating worldwide and it is estimated that the annual input of mercury into this reservoir is a whopping 4,900 tons. Mercury can be found in vaccines, car exhaust, to sulphate fertilizers, power plants, cement kilns, CFL light bulbs, thermometers, button-cell batteries, LCD screens, older thermostats and appliances and even toxic dental amalgams (outlawed in Sweden and Denmark for health reasons); Pesticides/ fungicides; Pollution; Fish; Adhesives; Fabric softeners; Drugs; Coal burning; Cosmetics; Water-based paints; Chemical fertilizers; White powdered laxatives.

DETOX Solution: Burdock is a root that removes mercury and other toxins. It is often used to treat skin conditions but also helps clean the liver. Selenium: This mineral is also an antioxidant that is able to remove mercury. In small, safe amounts, selenium is also used to fight cancer and help rebuild immune systems.

Lead

Known to cause lowered IQs and other cognitive disorders, lead has become a common pollutant in many foods, including organic foods and superfoods. Lead is extremely difficult to remove from the body’s tissues once absorbed, and the number of edible substances that can protect against lead is quite small. Removal of lead from the diet will frequently result in a heightened increase in IQ, memory and improved moods. Lead can be found in Auto exhaust; Industrial smelters and paint factories; Lead water pipes; Industrial pollution in the water; Pesticide runoff; Acid rain be it industrial or volcanic; Roof paint through the catchment system; Lead paint on children’s cribs which they eat because it tastes sweet; Cigarettes due to lead arsenate as an insecticide; Insecticides/fungicides; Burning newspapers due to the lead in the ink; Soldered items; Gardens near a main road; Children playing near main roads; Jogging on main roads; Commercial baby milk; Industrial materials such as nails, solder, plaster, putty; Shellfish; Gasoline; Bullets; Organ meats; Dog food; Cosmetics, Dolomite; Paper clips; Cooking utensils; Hair colorings; Wines; Leaded toothpaste tubes.

DETOX Solution: Garlic, Robert I. Lin, president of Nutritional International in Irvine, California, successfully used garlic to detox lead from children. Dr. Al Sears, MD, also cites raw garlic as an excellent detox food for other heavy metals as well. It’s easy to add three to five fresh cloves to your daily diet. Research suggests that turmeric root and myrrh can significantly mitigate lead’s toxic effects on the body.

Seek to reduce specific metals that might target organs where you already have weakness or vulnerability. For example:

• People with kidney disease should seek to drastically reduce cadmium intake.

• People with cancer should drastically reduce arsenic intake.

• People with mental health issues should drastically reduce copper intake.

• People with cognitive disorders or depression should drastically reduce lead intake.

• People with Alzheimer’s or dementia should drastically reduce aluminum intake.

Tips to help you detox heavy metals

(1) Drink lots of purified water through reverse osmosis and carbon filtration or a portable Berkey purifier or similar purifier. Fluoride is rocket fuel for getting aluminum through the blood-brain barrier. Chlorine in tap water can mix with lead in piping to create dangerous lead/chlorine compounds.

(2) Don’t underestimate garlic.

(3) Chlorella and spirulina – Binding to mercury, arsenic, cadmium and lead, spirulina and chlorella are an excellent choice for removing heavy metals. Moreover, chlorella not only attracts harmful metals but also encapsulates the toxins, thereby preventing reabsorption in the digestive tract.

(4) Probiotics

(5) Grapefruit – Helps eliminate heavy metals. Lemons and limes also help. The pectin in rinds from all citrus fruits is used to create the powerful supplement known as modified citrus pectin, which has demonstrated dramatic heavy metal detox capacity in clinical trials.

(6) ZeoliteWith exceptional magnetic attributes, zeolite is one of the best methods for eliminating troublesome metals. At the University of California in Los Angeles, eleven healthy participants were given zeolite for 30 days. At the conclusion of the study, researchers noted a significant reduction in heavy metal concentrations, without any negative effect on vital electrolytes.

It’s important to understand that using conventionally grown veggies recycles toxicity back into your system. So try to consume all organic or at least use the following list to avoid the most heavily sprayed crops. (http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/guide/)
